Hi everyone,

I have some great news! My lovely blogger friends Gemma and Carlyann asked me to be on their DT at Charisma Cardz and of course i thought about it................ for all of 2 seconds, before i said yes! So here i am with my first challenge. I am on Team Gem and our challenge is Masking and of course we have sponsors

and How great is that!!

Here is my project

I never make enough Magnolia Tilda cards, but i love them sooo much. Tilda herself is coloured with Promarkers and the wall is coloured with Spectrum Noirs. The gingham paper is from Dovecraft and the floral one is Kate Knight.

The border is punched using a Martha Stewart punch. The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts. The gems and ribbon were in my stash.

Incy Wincy DT- Sketch

It's that time again, at Incy Wincy and we are sponsored by our very own Nikki with her digi stamp company

The prize is 3 digis from Limited Runs

Our challenge, is to use the sketch above that our Samantha came up with. You can flip, rotate etc but we need to be able to see the basic sketch.

Nikki's shop is known to some people as the calorie free sweet shop, as it is filled with over 100 cupcakes among other wonderful digis, so i of course had to use a cupcake digi.

I coloured with promarkers and flexmarkers. The card base is made from Centura pearl cardstock. The brown and pink cardstock is core d'inations. The border is cut with a Martha Stewart punch. The paper was in my stash. The embossed panel is using Swiss Dots folder. Sentiment is from Tulip. Buttons from my stash.

New Challenge at OSAAT

It's time for another challenge at One Stitch at a Time and this week we would like you to use a digi, Simple!!

I used a word, which is really unusual for me! The word is 'SPRING' and is coloured with promarkers and Sakura pens. I then cut it out using an Xcut nestie. The paper is Forever Friends. The embossed card is Whitewash cardstock.

The butterflies and leaves are cut from Martha Stewart punches. The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts. The gems, lace and ribbon were in my stash.

New DT and a challenge

My lovely team mate and friend Erin, told me about a DT that was looking for a couple of new members and here i am ! The owner Lisa was nice enough to offer me a place and of course i said yes!!

Now Lisa's store That Craft Place stock almost everything you can think of and is a crafters dream!

So my first challenge was an easy one of Anything Goes!

The card i made for this challenge ended up with a cup of Ribena over it courtesy of my darling 3 year old son, so this is one i made ages ago. It is using a Crafty Sentiments coloured with promarkers. The papers are Honey and Hugs.

My first card is from Freshley Brewed Images. I coloured this sweet cat with promarkers. The papers are from Daisy and Dandelion pad. The ribbon and gems were in my stash.

The newxt card i did was using this image from Stamping Dragon designs and is coloured with promarkers and edged with chalks. The paper is from a pad that was a freebie with a magazine recently. The ribbon was sent in secret santa present. The flowers are from Wild Orchid crafts and the leaves are punched with a Martha Stewart Frond punch.

Hi everyone, it's time for another challenge at Incy Wincy and this week we have a recipe for you: 3 embellishments, 2 papers and 1 image, easy right?

For my card i coloured this cutie with promarkers and flexmarkers. The light paper is from First Edition, but i'm not sure about the darker paper. The heart is embossed around the edge, although my camera wouldn't be good for me, so i couldn't get a good photo at all.

A new DT and a card

I am so excited, i have been asked to join the design team of Cardmadfairy's Digi Days Challenge!! Jenni does some gorgeous digis and i am so proud to be part of the team.

My first challenge is HEARTS perfect for this time of year.

I thought i would do something a bit different to my 'normal' style. The image is of course from Cardmadfairy all i did to it was coloured the key and the tiny leaves. I cut the key out and layered it over a circle nestie so it hung out of the shape. The paper is a digital freebie i picked up at some point but i'm not sure where from! How to add a Watermark to your photos

This is how i add my watermark to my photos. There are lots of ways to do it though. I got my watermark from here

First go to http://www.getpaint.net/ and download. It is 100% free and safe.

Once downloaded find the photo you want to watermark and right click and open with paint.net. And you will get this:

Then you need to click Layers, Import file and find where you have saved your watermark, click it and open.

You will then have this:

Adjust the size and position of your watermark. Once happy with it click File and Save as

Save your image as a jpeg, click OK and you will have this:

Click OK

Click Flatten

Then you are done. Click the X to close the program and this will come up. Click Save. Then you are done!

This is what you will be able to open afterwards.

My First DT card for Addicted to Stamps

Hi everyone,

Last week i received an email from a lovely lady called Heather asking me to join her Design Team at the Scrapbook Stamp Society/Addicted to Stamps, of course i said yes immediately! So here i am with my first card using their images.

This image, i believe is a new one and is called Hunny Bunny by Heather Valentin and can be found at the Scrapbook Stamp Society. I didn't want to overpower the image too much so kept the whole card simple.

I made a simple 6 x 6 card then layered with some pink card and pink gingham backing paper from Crafts Too. Hunny is coloured with Pro markers and layered onto a Nellie Snellen die cut. The white panel is embossed through the Grand Calibur with Provo crafts hearts embossing folder. The leaves are a Marianne Designs die cut that i chalked green. The flowers are self adhesive and are from the pound shop. The little Love Me love heart is from a pack i received in a swap, how cute is that?! Gems were in my stash.

Here is what i did

I used a Craftwork Cards scalloped card blank. The image which is from Floppy Latte, is coloured with promarkers and flexmarkers, which i the cut out using a nestie.

The paper was in my stash, so i'm not sure where it is from. I embossed the green panel with a cuttlebug folder. The large butterfly is punched from a Tonic Studios punch. The tiny ones are punched from a woodware punch.

Just Inspirational DT card

I haven't been doing any DT work for a few weeks as i have had a few personal problems. But now i am back!!! I hope you all had a great christmas and new year!

And here is what i did:

I chose this fairy from one of the sheets that Whoopsi Daisy generously gave us. She is coloured with Promarkers and cut using a nestie. I cut around her wings and dress so they over hang, before cutting the nestie, i hadn't tried it before but i think it works perfectly! Her wings have been glittered with ultra fine white glitter. The paper is from Craftwork Cards which is matted on silver mirri card. The ribbon and feathers were in a secret santa gift i received from a lovely lady called Jackie. The butterflies are punched from a Tonic studios punch. The gems were from my stash.

A BIGGGGG catch up!

I am so sorry i haven't been around much lately, i am having a few personal problems at the moment and because of this i have had trouble keeping up with my commitments to the DT's i am on. I have stepped down from the Glitter Geeks and Incy Wincy have given me some time off, which i am truly greatful for! And as most of you will know, i run Just Inspirational Challenges and The Crazy Challenges, which i will also be taking some time off from, but i am confident my teams will keep you all the challenges going and do me proud!

I do have one card to share with you though. A few months ago i applied to be on the Teddy Bo Challenge DT, but as you can imagine there were so many fantastic applicants it was really difficult for the owner Gayle to choose, so i was asked to be a guest designer for November/December. How excited was i?!

I absoloutely love Teddy Bo images, although i am not 100% happy with my card.

My card is coloured using Copics. I decided to go for the white theme, using the bear as the colour. The white background card is Kanban embossed snowflake card. The snowflake is a wooden embellishment glittered and dotted with white pearl paint. The ribbon is from Crafty Ribbons. The sentiment is computer generated.

I actually made this for a friend has been in and out of hospital for the last few weeks.

I used this gorgeous Teddy Bo image. It is coloured with promarkers. The backing paper is Honey and Hugs. The ribbon is from Crafty Ribbons. The flowers and pins are from Crafty Emmas Store and Wild Orchid Crafts. The sentiment is from the Tulip range. The card is an 8 x 8 scalloped edge from Everycraftsapound.co.uk

The next card I have for you is one that i made for a GD for Ellephantastic.

The theme is Weather, so of course i had to go with the cold.

This is coulored with copics and glittered with ultra fine white glitter. The 'snow' is My Craft Studio snow. The icicle border is cut from a Marianne die and has been covered with Frost glitter. The sentiment is from Craftwork Cards. The backing paper is Forever Friends. The star paper was from a bundle i got from Create and Craft. Gems from my stash. Tiny snowflakes were punched from a Woodware mini Snowflake punch.

I wanted to keep this card really simple as i have made it with Rememberance Day in mind (11/11/11)

I coloured with promarkers and cut out with Nesties. The black spotty paper was in my stash as were the red mirri card and gems. I have added some faux stitching to the edges. The butterfly is punched from a Tonic Studios punch.

I used this cute Ghost. This was a really simple card and literally took 15 minutes! It is just black card, and some paper and gems i had in my stash!

I folded one side of a scalloped card blank to make a twisted easel. I coloured with promarkers and glossed the boots and glittered her dress. Glitter Geeks DT - Flower Power

This week is my first week as a Design Team Member for The Glitter Geeks. I am so excited to be part of their team, be sure to pop over and take a look at the rest of the DT.

For my first challenge the theme is Flower Power! As most of you will know i love to put flowers on my cards, so this was right up my street.

I decided to use this Magnolia Tilda, i love Tilda but due to the cards i make for my other DT's i don't use them too often. I coloured her with promarkers and chalked the edges with some papermania chalks. The paper is from First Edition, Dessert Bloom pad i think.

The border was punched from a border punch from EK Success. The swirl i got from ebay.

The flowers are from Crafty Emmas Store and Wild Orchid Crafts as are the pins. I added some white glitter to make them sparkle.

2 DT Cards, some news and a Freebie!

Afternoon everyone, it is a beautiful sunny day here in the west midlands, you wouldn't know it was October!!

I have one card for 2 DT's today. As most of you will know i am a team member on Incy Wincy Designs and The Crazy Challenge, well October is the month for Breast Cancer Awareness and both teams are having the theme of THINK PINK! and they are both sponsored by my wonderful team mate at Incy Wincy Nikki who owns Limited Runs Digital Stamps. Well, at The Crazy Challenge our sponsor for this week let us down at the last minute and Nikki was kind enough to step in for me so a HUGE THANK YOU TO NIKKI!!

Breast Cancer is something that is very close to my heart, as one of my family members was diagnoised with it in June, so i thought about my card long and hard when i made it.

I wanted to keep this card simple but effective. The image is coloured with promarkers and flexmarkers. The mirri pink card was in my stash and the glitter card is from a pack of Create and Craft card from Wilkinson. I did mean to add an embossed panel but i forgot!! The white ribbon was in my stash as was the pink. To make the breast cancer ribbon i just looped it and put a brad through. The white pearls in the corner are Anitas 3D dimensional paint. The flowers are from Crafty Emmas Store and Wild Orchid Crafts. The card blank is from a pack of 3 from every crafts a pound. The 'hope' ribbon is a freebie that Nikki is giving away.

My time at Ally Pally!

On Saturday i went to Alexandra Palace to The Big Stamping and Scrapbooking Event. It was actually a last minute decision and it was a good one! I managed to rope my mum into coming with me, now she isn't a crafter but even she loved it and we are both going to the NEC in November!

I was born and raised in near London, but i never knew how beautiful our capital is!

There was of course lots of demos going on with some familiar faces including Sue Wilson (i think that is her name!)

The most amazing samples on display too! If anyone recognises their work please let me know as i would love to follow you and give credit to you!

Still going with my christmas cards! I used this sexy missus from Sassy, i coloured her with promarkers. The backing paper is from Craftwork Cards as is the happy Christmas sentiment. I'm not very happy with this as it was silver at first it didn't fit in with the theme so i went over all the silver with a quickie glue pen and added ultra fine black glitter, i just think it is a bit messy! The star border is from a pack of on the edge borders and is embossed. I used pink stickles for her scarf and round the edge of the nesties. On her hat and shoes i have added some Dawn Bibby Shine time.

This week at Incy Wincy we are sponsored by The Stampfairy for our distressing theme. Now my regular followers will know i don't really 'do' distressed as i don't feel i can. But here is my effort.

I have used this cute Bunny, she has been in my computer for ages and not been used so i thought i would use her today. I coloured her with promarkers and Copics.

Now another thing i don't really do many of is, Step cards, i never know what to do with the 'step' part lol. I had to adjust this one slightly as i went a bit overboard with the flowers and it wouldn't stand up properly, so i added a slight bend and it was fine! The flowers are from Crafty Emmas Store and Wild Orchid Crafts. The heart beaded stem was from ebay (i think)

The tag at the back is a Magnolia Doohickey. The one at the front i have had in my stash for ages and i thought it worked well with this. The Butterflies at the back are punched from a Tonic Studios punch. The tiny butterflies (and they are soooo tiny!) are punched from a Woodware punch. All the butterflies have glitter on them.

The papers are Magnolia Tilda, i have had them for ages and could have cried when i cut them, they are so pretty! The lace is self adhesive and is from my local craft shop.

I have used this HELLO sentiment. Sorry this photo is a bit far away, my battery on my camera died before i could take anymore! I have gone for a 'distressed' look with this one, i don't do many of cards like these although i do like the effect. I inked the edges with Tim Holtz distress inks in 'denim blue' (i think) The paper is My Mind's Eye. The large butterfly is a Marianne die, which i smothered with Crackle accents. The gems are from Ladybug Crafts. The flower embossed panel i used the debossed side, by rubbing ink in the embossing folder. The flowers are Prima's with a mulberry rose in the centre.

I haven't posted much lately as i have just been busy, busy, busy! Today is my youngest son's birthday. Jack is 3 today!! Where does the time go??

Those of you that are regular followers know that i'm not much of a cd crafter, but i am a HUGE fan of anything to do with Elephants!! So when Crafters Companion brought out The Humphrey's Corner CD-Rom i had to have it!!

This is a card that you literally print and stick together! I just added a couple of bits to it.

I mounted it on some purple cardstock. I went around the edges with wink of Stella pens and added some ribbon.

I think it makes a great quick card and although this one i think is for valentines day, i used it for birthdays!

When i saw this project title i was umming and aaaring over what to make and then it came to me!

A candle with a matching box!! And i am really proud of this. The candle was just a cheap one from Sainsburys. They are so simple to do, there will be alot of these going out as gifts lol! I coloured the image with promarkers and added some Wink of Stella glitter markers to the butterfly trail. The box is made from some strong silver card i had, i have put the image on both sides and tied with purple ribbon.

PLEASE DO NOT ADD PROMARKERS OR ANY OTHER ALCOHOL PEN DIRECTLY TO THE CANDLE AND NEVER LEAVE A CANDLE UNATTENDED.

I have used Sleeping Beauty as mine!

I used a right mixture on this card. The colouring is using Spectrum Noirs and Promarkers. I still haven't had time to sit down and play with my Spectrums properly so i am still experimenting lol.

The hair is promarkers Gold, Lemon, Buttercup and Primrose. The skin is Promarkers Oatmeal, Soft Peach and Ivory. And her dress is Spectrum Noirs 86,88 and137 with a tiny bit of blender. Her tiara and necklace has been gold glittered. I seem to have an obsession with Wire ribbon at the moment lol.

The star paper is from Dovecraft Back to Basics range, i'm not sure what the pink and yellow paper is though. The heart is cut from a Marianne die ( i think, it was sent to me!)

Incy Wincy Designs - Something Old, Something New..............

Hi all,

Can you believe it is Monday already?? Where has this year gone??

This week at Incy Wincy our them is Something Old, Something New.

Well there is an old english saying:

Something old, something new

Something borrowed, something blue

And a silver sixpence in her shoe.

This is traditionally to be done by a bride on her wedding day and she will have a long and happy marriage. ( I did this, all except the sixpence as i had open toed shoes and i have been married 7 years!!)

Well when i saw the title of our challenge this week, i thought i need to get this in there somewhere, but also keep to the theme which is that we would like to see Some OLD stash and Some NEW stash in your projects.

OK here is my card:

So the Blue bit is the card blank, the Congratulations paper, flowers and cardstock.

The something old is this image, i have had this for ages and love it!! Also the card blank has been in my stash forever!

The something new is the pens i have used as they are the NEW Spectrum Noirs! This is the very first image i coloured in with them! Not sure i have mastered it yet, but not bad for a first attempt! Also the camera that has taken these photos is New (my lovely hubby brought me for my birthday last week, i am sure you can see the difference in this photo and previous ones!!)

Now seen as she has no feet i couldn't give her a silver sixpence, so i gave her hubby a greay pair of shoes, (does that work?). Now the borrowed bit was hard, but then it came to me!! A sketch! so i tralled through all the challenges i could find for one i could get to fit this and here it is:

The Crazy Challenge - The Sun Is Out!

This week at The Crazy Challenge our them is THE SUN IS OUT. Well considering it is August you expect it!! And for once the UK is warm! (well the West Midlands is)

Anyway....... for this weeks challenge we are sponsored by the brilliant Digital Delights who are offering the winner 3 images of their choice!!

I have used Briely and her balloons, but i am not happy with this card. I coloured Briley with promarkers and Zig Wink of Stella pens and then thought i would chalk the sky with my new chalks i brought Saturday, BIG mistake, with out trying them, the blue was alot darker than i expected and instead of being a nice blues sunny day sky, it looks like it was about to rain!!I didn't have time to colour her again so i thought put a bit of yellow in the corner to make it look like the sun was there, hasn't worked!! And to make things worse i got a Martha Stewart Stamping Glitter set, so i thought i would add a couple of birds with black glitter! Well you can see the result yourself!

The Card blank is from Craftwork Card, The backing paper is from the Born to Shop Range. The flowers are from Ebay and the 'Play' tag is Tim Holtz. The yellow ribbon is from Papermania.

Incy Wincy Designs - Monochrome

This week at Incy Wincy we have gone monochromatic!! I have got to admit this is one of my least favourite themes! Only because i run out of ideas when i can't use a million colours!!

Instead of colouring it, i decided to change the colour digitally and just added some highlights using a Sakura gelly pen. Orange is totally out of my comfort zone and i am not sure i like it!! But....... The paper is from Crafts Too. The block of card is embossed with a butterfly embossing folder. The ribbon is from Crafty ribbons. The candi is from Craftwork Cards and the flowers were in my stash.

5 Card Orders! - Warning LONG POST!

A few months ago a friend asked me to make her 5 cards for her 3 children' christening, which is today (i hope it all goes well) She wanted 3 for the godparents and 1 for her mum and 1 for her nan, for doing the food. After a few ideas flown back and forth these are what i came up with.

As they were thank you cards, i thought i would go for a more thank you image rather than christening image. Before i say anything else PLEASE forgive me for the bad quality photos! (only another 6 days till my birthday Graham! (that's my hubby lol))

This first card is using Teddy Bea. She is coloured with promarkers and pencils and then cut out. The papers are from First Edition (i think, although i am not sure which range!) This week is my last week at SMC, I would like to say thank you to Angela, Deanette and the rest of the team for such great opportunities and inspiration!

The challenge over there this week is COOKIES. They want to see anything to do with cookies.

I made a center step card. I have used 4 of the new Miki Images and this large Cupcake, all coloured with promarkers The papers are from Piece of Cake range. The ribbon is from stash. The ticket is Tim Holtz.

This card is one of the cards my son gave to his teacher on the last day of school. This image was SMC's freebie this week but i also masked it digitally with Harley and Halo. It is coloured with promarkers and ZIG wink of stella glitter pens. The paper is a doublesided sheet from First Edition. I used half and half. the ribbon, gems and sentiment is from my stash.

In Blogland we have little awards that show appreciation to our followers and i have received this fom a wonderful lady called Linda, visit her blog here. She always has gorgeous creations over there and i love to visit and see what she has made, one of my favourites is this set

OOPS I FORGOT TO LIST MY 7 THINGS NO ONE KNOWS!

1. My favourite foods are BBQ ribs and anything chocolatey

2. Most of my cards are made after 7pm, when my youngest has gone to bed.

3. I am petrified of sharks (i can't even go into an aquarium where they are!)

6. I met my husband on holiday when i was 16 and i am now almost 29!

Teacher Thank you Cards

As most parents with Children of school age will know, this week in the UK the schools close for Summer. 6 ish weeks with the kids at home! I like to give the teachers and assistants a little something to say thank you, i didn't get round to making them anything this year and took the easy way out of buying something. But i did make their cards which of course me being me left it till last night!! Here are 4 of the 5 i made:

Mother in Laws Birthday Cards

In June it was my mother in laws birthday. She is ALWAYS on her laptop play World of Warcraft, so when i saw this image, i knew it would be perfect!

The image is by Mo Manning and is coloured with Promarkers and pencils.

The Sentiment is LOTV. The papers are from the Me to You range and the flowers are from Crafty Emmas store and Wild Orchid Crafts.

The ribbon and gems were in my stash.

I also made her this one from my daughter.

This was using one of the toppers from a Me to You pack, i'm not sure if it was in the 12 x 12 papers or a decoupage pack. The dotty paper is First Edition and the pink one is Crafts Too. I can't believe it is Friday already! Only 15 days till my birthday too! This week at SMC our challenge is GLITTER! This has to be one of my favourite challenges. I have used one of the July new releases available here. Isn't she just darlin'? I have coloured her with promarkers and pencils. Her wings are glittered with stickles. The heart is cut from a Spellbinders die and glittered with purple glitter glue. The paper is K & Co.

I have used the sketch from Fetch a Sketch and would like to enter it into their 2nd challenge, i hope it is ok that i have used a square instead of a circle?

Right, onto the Freebie from SMC this week, which is only available for a short time here. I coloured this with promarkers and added some clear glitter to the hearts using a sakura gelly roll pen. The paper is Crafts Too. Gems were in my stash.
