The Crazy Challenge - Pets

The Crazy Challenge

This week at The Crazy Challenge our theme is Pets.
We are sponsored by the wonderful AiFactory

I have used this gorgeous dog and cat.  I couloured them with promarkers.

All of this card is made using a MeerKat card kit.  The photos are not very clear, as my camera is on its last legs. These kits are great to make a quick simple card like this. I just used my nesties to cut the scalloped square and that was it.

I think it is very simple but effective.  What do you think? Be sure to pop over to the Challenge blog to check out the rest of the DT's designs.

Incy Wincy Designs - Nature

Incy Wincy Designs

This week over at Incy Wincy Designs the challenge is Nature and we are sponsored by the wonderful Di'sDigis

Who is offering the winner 5 digis from her store and as you will see from the ones the DT have used they are gorgeous digis!!

The design team were lucky enough to have a choice of which ones they wanted to use and i chose this gorgeous Ellie the Elephant.  Elephants are my all time favourite animal so when i saw her i had to have her.  She is coloured with promarkers and shaded with prismas.  The flowers have been embelished with gems in the centres.

The card blank, which is an 8 x 8 card, paper and purple card is from Papermania. This card was a bit out of my comfort zone where the colour combo is concerned, it is a bit more vibrant than i usually use, but i am pretty happy with the end result.  The sentiment is from Raindrop Echos and is cut using a nestie.  The butterfly border is punched using a Martha Stewart punch and the 3d butterflies are punched from a Tonic Studios punch and embelished with gems from my stash.

Being as this challenge was nature and i had already added the butterflies, i thought it needed some flowers, and i have such a huge collection of flowers, i had great fun trying to decide which ones to use.  I didn't want to use roses as i tend to use them all the time when i add flowers to a project, so i decided on a large Daisy, Calia Lilys, Cherry Blossoms and Crysantheums all of which are from Crafty Emmas Store.

Thanks for reading and come back for my 2nd posting

Huge post alert!!!

Hi everyone,

I have some mega making up to do.  My modem decided to die on me and i have had to,  what feels like a lifetime, wait for SKY to send me a new one.  Well my lovely postman brought it for me today. What did we ever do without the internet??  Anyway i have some catching upto do so first up is

A new Design Team i am on, Nicecrane Designs, this is relatively new but the owner Ignacio has some amazing digi stamps and papers go check out his store here, his blog is here and of course we are on CDAC where there are challenges set and a chance to win $30 to spend in the store!

As i have been having internet problems i haven't actually joined in the challenges over there yet but i have made 3 cards using Nicecrane Designs images.

This first card is using an image from The Mark Twain Collection which can be found here.  The image is coloured with prisma pencils except the skin which is Ivory Promarker.  The papers are from some a friend sent me in a swap which is mounted on silver mirri card.  The flowers are from some candy i won a little while ago. The leaves are punched from a Martha Stewart Punch. And the pearls are from a gift that one of my team mates Chris at Incy Wincy.

The second card is using Sweet Fairy DS5 which is available here. Again i coloured with prismas except for the skin as i haven't found the right combination yet. The papers are from the Fizzy Moon Collection.  Butterflies punched from Martha Stewart punch.  Flowers are from Prima.

And then my 3rd card using Nicecrane designs is this gorgeous cat which is part of the Incredible Friends;  Punky Dunk which is available here.  I have coloured with Prismas pencils and chalks.  The embossed panel is using a Fiskars BricksTexture plate, which i thought was perfect for this image.  The paper again is from the Fizzy Moon Collection.  Ribbons, gems and candi from my stash.

Next up is Incy Wincy

Incy Wincy Designs

This week we were sponsored by Sassy Studios for our Lavendar and Lace challenge

For this card i have used this gorgeous girl with a cupcake. I coloured her with Promarkers and added a touch of Prismas for shading (i love these prismas!!)  The cream card is Bazzill embossed cardstock.  Lace was from a selection i brought on ebay.  The paper was in a selction of 12 x 12 i had, i dont think it was actually part of the papermania collection, i think i may have just stored it with them.  The flowers are from my candy win, previously mentioned.  The leaves are punched from an X - Cut, although you can't ssee it here, it is actually embossed, it is one of my best buys lately and it was only £4.99!! Bargain!  The candi was in my stash and is from CraftWork Cards.  The sentiment is a LOTV stamp, i haven't filled it in yet as i don't know who this card will be for.

The Crazy Challenge

Before i show you my card i have some news, a few of the team for various reasons have decide to step down from the team, in particular Ruth our DT Co-Ordinator.  I have now taken over this role!  I am so excited about this. I would like to take this opportunity to thank Ruth and all the ladies of the design team, past and present.  They all do truly amazing work

Right on to our challenge,  this week we are sponsored by Sassy Studios for our challenge A Recipe - 1, 2, 3, this can be 1of anything, 2 of something else and 3 of another.

I decided to use 1 Ribbon, which was from Crafy Ribbons, 2 papers, the pink is from First Edition and the blue was from a pad i got from a magazine. And last but not least 3 punched flowers.  The image is coloured with Promarkers. Butterflies are Martha Stewart punched and the heart was sent to me with the sentiment, which is fabric, in a swap.

If you are still reading, thank you soooooo much.

Incy Wincy Designs - Clean and Simple

Incy Wincy Designs

This week at Incy Wincy we are sponsored by Digital Delights!  They are giving the winner 3 Digital stamps!! And their stamps are just the cutest!  The challenge is really easy too!  Clean and Simple!

For my card i used this gorgeous stamp and coloured with promarkers and added some highlights with Prisma colour pencils.  I mounted some Kraft card from Papermania as the backing, i have never used it myself, but have always loved the effect.  The paper which  i think is Basic Grey, but i'm not sure, is the same sheet, as it is double sided i thought why not use it all.  Candi from Craftworks Cards, sentiment from my stash.

I hope you like it and thanks for looking!

Also today is my daughters 11th Birthday so i would just like to say a great big HAPPY BIRTHDAY! to her.  She will probably moan at me for putting this on here but here is a pic of her

SMC - Anything Goes! And image winner!

The winner of the image i used for the blog hop is :

WENCHEP!

On to this weeks challenge, it is Anything goes! I have used one of the images from the May new releases.  As elephants are my favourite animal i couldn't resist this gorgeous one.

I have coloured coloured with promarkers and highlighted with my new Prisma Colouring pencils, oh they are lovely to colour with.  I mounted it on to a large scalloped square nestie.  The ribbon across the middle is a suede effect one that is just lovely.  The dummie charm was from ebay, how cute is it? Buttons from my stash.  The sentiment is from the new Tulip range and the paper is one that i received in a swap.

My next card i made is using this weeks freebie.  I love this freebie as it is so verstaile.  My printer was playing up so i printed this image 3 times, co i decided to decoupage it slightly, but as my camera is also playing me up i couldn't get a better picture of it.  I coloured with promarkers and embellished the centres with gems.  The paper was from a swap i received.  The sentiment is also from the Tulip range.

The Crazy Challenge - Anything Goes

The Crazy Challenge

This week at The Crazy Challenge it is Anything Goes and our wonderful sponsor is Digital Delights by Louby Loo

Here is what i did

This image was actually going to be used for something else, but my printer was playing up and wouldn't print!  Anyway this is Madison Bride, i coloured her with promarkers and gave her a 'bling' necklace using Sakura Gel pens.  This was a really easy card as i wanted to keep it clean and simple.  The papers were from ebay, not sure of the brand. And everything else was in my stash.

I hope you like it and thanks for looking.

Incy Wincy Designs - Mothers Day/Girlie

Incy Wincy Designs

This week at Incy Wincy the challenge is Mothers day/girlie and we are sponsored by Kenny K

Here is what i did:

The DT were given some gorgeous images to play with and i chose the supermom one.  Here in the UK Mother;s day is celebrated in March, so i decided to not put a sentiment on this card so it could be for any occasion.
The image is coloured with promarkers and layered onto a nestie shape.  (A little while ago i brought a whole big batch of nestie shapes from ebay, so i am unsure which one this is.)  I inked the edges with some purple ink, to give some definition to it.
The paper was from a bunch i got again from ebay.  I chose this particular paper as it has May all over it, and being that Mother's Day is 9th May in many countries, i thought it was very fitting.  The large butterfly is die cut from a Marianne die and has been inked with a pink and purple pad, then gone over with a Sakura gel pen.  The butterfly border is cut from a Martha Stewart punch.  The flowers are Prima which i gave a glaze to again using a Sakura gel pen.  The card candi centres of the flowers are from Craftworks cards.  All gems are from my stash, with a special thank you to Chris at Incy Wincy for the Pink pearls.

Thank you for looking and come back later for another DT card.

Ai Factory - Mother's Day

Over at Ai Factory this week the theme is Mother's Day, which is a bit strange for me to be making mother's day cards in May as the UK's mother's day is in March, anyway......  We were given some gorgeous images to play with and this is what i came up with.  I actually cut the image out in seperate pieces so i could give it some dimension, you can't really see it in this picture, but my camera was playing me up :-/

As always i have coloured with promarkers.  The hexagon is cut from a nestie. The gems are from my stash.  The flowers are by Prima from ebay.  The candi is from Craftwork Cards.  The backing paper is from the Fizzy Moon pad and the strip was a scrap i had lying around, i can't remember where that is from!

I hope you like it and thank you for looking
