Make it Crafty Geeky Love

This is a card i made for my friend that had a baby.

She had 2 children before the baby came so i wanted to make something a bit different and around the time she was due the Geeky Baby collection was released over at Make It Crafty! I thought this was ideal and wanted to make a sort of story book.

So the front represents their wedding

The left is the inside of the wedding one and represents her pregnancy, the next is the birth of a beautiful baby girl

The last is the reality of parenthood!  She has asked me to give her a slap if she has any ideas to get pregnant again!! LOL although i have told her she needs to keep having them to keep my broodiness at bay!

This was the card as a whole

The papers are from Craftwork Cards, the images from Make it Crafty and are coloured with promarkers.

Is Spring here??

This is another image from the free decoupage set from Papercraft Essentials.
Again i mounted on Kraft card and kept it simple.
The sentiment was a spare of the moment choice and thinking about it now i would put a mother's day or easter sentiment on it.

Mother's Day cards x 2

You may remember a couple of weeks ago i made 2 Popcorn the bear cards that were identical but slightly different?
Well these 2 cards are for the same lady.

She wanted a card for her mother in law and a card for her mum.
They are for mother's day but when i showed her this morning she asked me to leave them as they are.

The image was a freebie from a magazine and is coloured with promarkers and flexmarkers.

The papers are Dovecraft and Forever Friends.
The ribbons and pearls are from my stash
The butterflies which have Stickles on them are punched from Tonic Studios punch.
The mum balloons are from Fidgety Fingers.

Fizzy Moon

A couple of weeks ago my mother in law asked me to make her a card for her sister that was going to be 60.
I have a real thing for mounting on to black at the minute, i think it really sets the colours in the paper off.
The stamp is Fizzy Moon and is coloured with promarkers and flexmarkers.  The flowers have been stickled for the glittery effect.
The papers are Dovecraft and Me to You
The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts and the pearls and gems were from my stash.

The Stamping Chef vs Simply Betty Stamps

Over on Facebook, The Stamping Chef and Simply Betty Stamps are going head to head in a roller derby!

Both artists were offering an image to use and being that both companies sponsor my blog Just Inspirational, i couldn't choose so i did a card for both!

First is Simply Betty Stamps using Bonnie Skullhead and the challenge there was to use Hot Pink, Lime and Black.  Now these aren't my usual colours but i thought i would give it a go! After a bit of tooing and froing and a suggestion of ribbon from my good friend Kate this is what i came up with.
I used a hot pink embossed paper, spotty green paper from Dovecraft and black card to mount it on!  The ribbon is Dovecraft too, the image is coloured with promarkers.  The stars are cut from an Xcut die and the gems were from the £ shop!

Next was KittyPaw Vultura from The Stamping Chef, i coloured her with promarkers.  I wanted to do a pastel one with her as a Good vs Evil but then i looked at the image again and thought hmmmm she isn't a 'good' girl is she!
The challenge at The Stamping Chef is 3 Papers, 2 Buttons and 1 ribbon. So i chose the pink papers from First Edition and the green from Dovecraft.  The ribbon is from Crafty Ribbons, the buttons are from the Gorjuss range by Do Crafts and the sentiment is Lily of the Valley.

I hope you like them both
