Cardmaker’s Delights

The other night i was browsing the internet as you do when it is 1am and you can’t sleep and came across a website called Cardmaker’s Delights

CMD_logo_blog

Now on this website you will find a wide variety of Toppers, from vintage to Christmas to cute kittens to shabby chic!

The owner Tracy is a lovely lady and sent me some to try out.

Well when i received my parcel, there was a dozen toppers in there and they are all different and are fantastic quality! The card they are printed on is a good weight and thickness, not at all flimsy.  And i have found out today that Tracey designs these herself, i am in total awe of them.

IMG_1824

When i sat down to make this card, it took me absolutely ages to decide on the paper, i wanted to do the topper justice and everything i picked up just seemed too busy but i came to this one which i believe is K & Co (but i could be wrong!)  I wanted to make the topper stand out and not ‘crowd’ it so i just kept it simple.

The birdcage is a Tim Holtz die cut that i was sent by my secret Santa.

The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts.

The butterflies are a punch.

The pearls were in my stash.

I really hope you like it and that i have done the topper justice, they really are fab!

Be sure to pop over to Cardmaker’s Delights to see the variety.

The Crazy Challenge – Inspired by a Movie

DT Badge

This is the first challenge i have managed to join in with at The Crazy Challenge since hurting my shoulder, but i am very proud of the design team, they coped perfectly without me!

logo design 2Sassy

Well this challenge is sponsored by Sassy Studio Designs and the theme this week?  Is to be inspired by a movie!

This is one of my favourite themes to do using Sassy Studio Designs, so when it comes to choosing the image it is REALLY difficult because they have sooo many movie themed ones, but in the end i chose Honey Tinkerbell.

IMG_1816

I coloured her with Promarkers and stickled her wings with Frosted Lace Stickles.

I used a simple Glitter card as the background.  The ribbon was in my stash.

The gem ‘bracket’ is done using a template that came with Papercraft Essentials this month.

For my project i used this cutie, April, from the Jenni's store and coloured her with promarkers (list of colours below)  The clouds are done using a cloud shape and Distress ink.
 I chose to do a yellow/blue theme as i always associate April as yellow and May as blue (don't know why!!) and the saying is April Showers bring May Flowers!
The card blank is from Craftwork Cards.
The papers, tree and butterfly are from In the Meadow range from Nitwits.

The flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts.

The colours used are:
SKIN: Coral, Sunkissed Pink, Pale Pink, Blush (flexmarker)

How to centre a blog header

I have been playing around with my blog today and have found a few useful things i thought i would share

The first one i think is most useful is how to centre your blog header.

First of all upload your blog header:

Capture

Next, go to Dashboard> Design> Template Designer:

Capture1Then in Advanced go to ADD CSS and add:

.header-outer {
margin-left:90px;
}

Adjust the 90 to suit your preference. Our one is 150px:
